Hello.
It is Sakura from Taketa station Hostel cue.
竹田は昨日朝から雪がよく降りました。
静かすぎる朝は雪の日の特別感があります。
しかしここは九州。
南国のイメージがある九州ですが、しっかり寒いですし時々は雪も降ります。
It was snowing in Taketa yesterday.
There is a special feeling of the snowy day in the morning which is too quiet.
But here is Kyushu.
You think Kyushu is an image of warm area, but it is cold and occasionally snowing here in winter.
インフルエンザが流行っているようです。手洗い、うがいをしてあたたかくお過ごしくださいね。
The flu is going around now.
Please wash your hands and gargle, stay warm not to catch a cold.
さて、2月に入りましたので5月末までの予約を開始しました。
Well, we started reservation by the end of May.
5月の竹田は素晴らしい季節ですよ！
田んぼの水に映る緑と空や
岡城、久住高原の新緑はとても気持ちがよいです。
梅雨入り前で雨も少なく気候もばっちり。
竹田市にもまたがる祖母山は山開きもあります。
新緑まぶしい大分竹田でお待ちしています！
This season is wonderful in Taketa.
The rice field filled with water is beautiful to reflect the sky and mountains.
There are completely covered with green plants in Kuju plateau.
In May, the weather is so nice before the rainy season.
Why don’t you climb Mt.Sobo or Mt.Kuju?
We are looking forward to seeing you in Taketa.
さてさて2月に入り、城下町でのイベントも少しずつ増えてきました。
竹田在住の作家さんによる展示会やお雛祭りなどもあります。
By the way, some events is going to take place in February around the castle town.
People living in the castle town will display Hina Ningyo, which means Hina dolls in front of their shops from Feb.16 to Mar.11.
cueでは9日のcueの日をはじめ、他にもイベントをいくつか企画しています。
cueの日は2/9にくの日にちなんでハッシュドビーフをご用意しますよー！
And “Cue day” will be held on the 9th. We are going to prepare the special dish “hashed beef”. Come on, join us!!
