早くも一月は折り返し。
cueも連日様々なゲストさんに来ていただき夜な夜な語り明かしています。

It is Sakura from Taketa Station Hostel cue.
Various guests came to cue every day and talked a lot of things until midnight.
さて、みなさんは初詣行かれましたか？
（日本では新年に神社を訪れ、多幸をねがうのが風習です。）
Well, Have you been to Hatsumode in 2018?
Many Japanese people visit a Shinto shrine during the first three days of January in order to make traditional New Year’s wishes for health and happiness. This is called hatsumode, the first visit to a shrine.
ここ大分県竹田市には大分県内外から多くの方が訪れる神社があります。
There is a famous shrine in Taketa-city, Oita Prefecture where many people visit from inside and outside of Oita Prefecture.
扇森稲荷神社。
通称こうとうさま。
That is called “Ohgimori Inari shrine”.
Local people call “Kohtoh-sama”.
国道から見える大きな鳥居が特徴です。商売繁盛として有名なここにcueも初詣に先日行って来ました。
A big Torii it’s kind of a gate can be seen from the rote 57.
Kohtoh-Sama is very popular and is visited a lot of people who come to pray for happiness and business success.
まずはこの大きな鳥居。
At first, we enter a big Torii.
玉来川沿いには広い駐車場もあり、三ヶ日は露店も出ていました。
その鳥居をくぐると、さらにまた鳥居。
After going through that torii, it is still torii.
そしてこの鳥居の先には…
まるで京都を思わせる鳥居トンネル。
『そうだ、竹田にいこう』
でCMできちゃいそうです（笑）
This Torii Tunnel reminds me of Kyoto.
途中、鳥居が途切れるところからは祖母山系を一望できます。
この日は綺麗な雪の祖母山を拝むことができました。
On the way, from the place where the torii is interrupted, you can see the Sobo mountains.
On this day I was able to see the beautiful snow mountains.
さらに登るとやっと社殿が。そしてお参り。
I finally climbed up the shrine and prayed for success, health and happiness.
しかし、この神社、稲荷ということだけあり、本殿の周りにもたくさんの小さな社があります。
お祀りされたお狐様の前にはそのまんまの油揚げが…。
ワタクシ、初めてみました、この光景。
You can see not only big shrine not also small shrines there is many foxes.
（Inari shrine like “Kohtoh-sama” is a tutelary shrine guarding the local people.
It is dedicated to the gods of the harvest and industry. Foxes , messengers of the gods, stand at the gate of the shrine.)
境内はかなり広いので時間をかけてこの神社を散策するのも面白いでしょう。
春と秋には大きなおまつりも開催されます。
cueからは自転車で15分ほどの場所です。
季節がよいころにサイクリングで訪れるのもおすすめですよ。
It is quite big at the area so it would be interesting to take some time to explore this shrine.
A big festival will be held in spring and fall, too.
It takes about 15 minutes by bicycle from cue.
It is recommended that you visit by cycling around the better season.
