飛行機の場合　- By airplane –

  • 阿蘇くまもと空港から特急「やまびこ号」で約110分(「竹田温泉花水月」下車)
  • 大分空港から空港バスで大分駅まで約65分、JR豊肥本線に乗り換え60分

From Aso-Kumamoto airport:
Take the express bus ‘Yamabiko’ from the airport. 2 hours ride brings you to “Taketa Onsen Hanamizuki” which is located just a few minutes walk from the station.

From Oita airport:
Take express bus “Air-liner” from the airport to the JR Oita station. Get off the bus at the Oita station to take JR train for Bungo-Taketa on Hohi line. If you take the express train “Kyushu Oudan Tokkyu” it will be less than an hour ride. If you take a local train, it will be around 90 minutes ride.

JRの場合　- By railway –

  • 大分駅から九州横断特急で約60分（JR豊肥本線「豊後竹田駅」下車）

JR trains

Take the express train “Kyushu Oudan Tokkyu” or a local train from Oita station. Please be advised that the trains for Bungo-Taketa don’t run frequently. Check train time table before you leave for Taketa.

車の場合　- By car –

  • 大分方面から：大分光吉ICから約60分
  • 熊本方面から：熊本ICから約100分
  • 福岡方面から：九重IC、または湯布院ICから約80分
